Peter Cohen
Associate
Peter provides research, advocacy, and communications support to clients across the K-12 landscape and serves as a liaison between W/A and its senior advisors. He recently graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a degree in Educational Studies, Psychology, and Writing. He brings a passion for education equity and a background in both education research and journalism.
Peter has worked on several education research projects both in St. Louis and abroad. While studying in South Africa, he conducted a qualitative case study analyzing the curriculum and implementation of a nationally mandated career readiness course. Back in St. Louis, he conducted a senior honors thesis on ethics education as an iteration of moral development, and worked on a number of working papers for WashU’s Social Policy Institute regarding student mobility in St. Louis.
In addition to his research experience, Peter spent time working as a reporter for a local publication in St. Louis called the Riverfront Times. In this role, he published several pieces on local tensions between charter school leaders and teacher union representatives.
Peter recently moved to Washington, D.C., where you can find him going on long walks in the park and looking for the best live-music spots in town.
