- This fact sheet outlines the federal government’s standards for creating a secure and trustworthy AI ecosystem across industries. Google, Anthropic, Microsoft, and OpenAI (creator of ChatGPT) all committed to the standards, building on the initial AI bill of rights, which was released earlier this year.
- Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Teaching and Learning, Office of Educational Technology
- In May 2023, The Department of Education’s Office of Educational Technology, led by Secretary Cardona, released an analysis of the state of AI in education. The report covers the rising interest of AI in the classroom, a thorough definition of artificial intelligence, and offers recommendations for incorporating AI into formative assessments, tutoring, and relieving administrative burdens for educators.

- Lauraine Langreo analyzes a May 2023 EdWeek Survey of K-12 educators and administrators. 31% of survey participants had a “somewhat negative” outlook on how AI will affect teaching and learning going forward.
