Sydni Dunn

Senior Director

A seasoned communications strategist with deep experience navigating high-stakes state education policy, Sydni Dunn supports strategic communications, media relations, and public affairs efforts across Whiteboard Advisors’ PK-12 and postsecondary portfolio.

Previously Sydni served as press secretary and director of communications for the Louisiana Department of Education, where she led communications under State Superintendent John White during one of the most ambitious and closely watched periods of state education reform in the country. In that role, she served as the department’s chief spokesperson, guiding communications around the state’s nationally recognized Louisiana Believes agenda.

Since leaving the state agency, Sydni worked as an independent communications strategist and consultant to education leaders, policymakers and mission-driven organizations. She began her career as a journalist, covering the academic workplace for The Chronicle of Higher Education, and later led external affairs for the largest academic college at Louisiana State University.

She earned her bachelor’s degree in mass communication from Louisiana State University. She is based in Mobile, Alabama.
