Whiteboard Advisors welcomes early Wireless Generation team member as first Entrepreneur-in-Residence; Stevenson brings deep expertise in sales strategy, policy advocacy to mission-oriented firm
WASHINGTON, D.C.—February 26, 2019—Whiteboard Advisors, education’s leading research, advisory, and communications firm, today welcomed Dave Stevenson as Entrepreneur-in-Residence. Stevenson, who most recently served as Executive Vice President at Amplify Education, brings two decades of experience to the firm, which advises education investors, companies, and nonprofit organizations.
“I have been proud to teach, to work with classroom teachers to build quality software, and to support state and district leaders on large-scale curriculum and assessment initiatives,” said Stevenson. “The Whiteboard Advisors team provided invaluable guidance to help me navigate the complexities of the sector to serve school systems effectively. I look forward to helping other leaders and organizations do the same, while exploring new projects and opportunities.”
A graduate of Brown University, Stevenson joins Whiteboard Advisors from Amplify Education (formerly Wireless Generation), where he led and built out the sales team as the company more than doubled from 2016 to 2018. He previously developed state-level engagements to advance K-3 reading outcomes, after leading some of Wireless Generation’s early product teams.
Earlier, Stevenson served as Producer at Scholastic, where he developed online tools for teachers and led e-commerce development projects. He began his career as an educator and technology coordinator. In addition to his work with Whiteboard Advisors, Stevenson will remain a Senior Advisor at Amplify Education.
