Kira Macauley supports clients across the K-12 landscape through research, advocacy, and strategic communications. Kira is driven by the throughline between systems-level decisions and what actually happens in the classroom, and a commitment to making that throughline lead to more meaningful learning opportunities for students.

Before joining Whiteboard Advisors, Kira spent the first several years of her career as a math teacher in New York City and Nashville, Tennessee, bringing firsthand classroom experience and a deep understanding of how policy and programs play out for educators and students to her work in education strategy and advocacy. She holds a M.Ed from Lipscomb University and a B.A. in Government from Georgetown University. 

Now based in Chicago, Kira enjoys crafting, cooking, and making the most of the windy city’s beautiful parks & fantastic restaurants.
