The Ibis Group, Maryland State Department of Education, and Whiteboard Advisors invites you to join us at the Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Maryland African American History & Culture (830 E Pratt St, Baltimore, MD 21202) on Wednesday, August 28 starting at 5:30pm ET for a public community screening of The Right to Read.
Immediately following the film screening, we will hear from a panel of literacy experts and advocates, including State Superintendent Dr. Carey Wright, the film’s protagonist and producer, Kareem Weaver, and literacy expert, Dr. Kymyona Burk, on the importance of science of reading and the Blueprint for Maryland’s Future – specifically the literacy components that support students, educators, and families.
